AI in Business (AI Security)
I help select, configure and integrate AI tools with the business workplace. I start with the use case, data and access requirements rather than assuming every organisation needs the same solution.
Start with the task, then choose the tool
I establish which process needs support: working with documents, finding information or another agreed task. I discuss the data involved and how results will be checked to define the boundaries of the use case.
Selection, configuration and integration
- I help select commercial licences, considering Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, Google Gemini for Google Workspace and ChatGPT plans for organisations.
- I review available settings for data use and permissions in the context of the particular service terms and selected plan.
- I configure agreed integrations with the workplace environment, including Teams, SharePoint or Google Drive, within the capabilities of the selected solution.
Agreeing the engagement
I first need a description of the use case, existing tools and data access rules. I then agree the solution, configuration and how it will be checked against selected examples.
Depending on the engagement, the outcome may include a tool recommendation, access configuration, an agreed integration or usage guidance. Not every engagement includes all of these elements or a fixed set of materials.
Data, licences and checking results
A paid licence alone does not guarantee confidentiality or correct answers. Service terms, settings, permissions and the type of data supplied all matter. I do not promise full compliance or an absence of risk based on product selection alone.
AI-generated results need verification appropriate to the task. Available features and integrations depend on the plan and environment configuration.
Questions and answers
Does the tool need access to every business document?
Broad access should not be treated as the default. I first establish which information is needed for the use case and who should be able to access it.
Can an AI answer determine an important decision on its own?
Decisions with significant consequences need source checks and review by a responsible person. A fluent answer does not establish that it is correct.
